"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. "
2009 has indeed put new wind in your sails! I am always amazed at your ability to take the inevitable, acknowledge the reality, and find humor that others might miss. You are an amazing woman and I'm glad I've gotten to know that side of you.
I was especially touched by your persistence to be Eli's mom forever. Having lost my dad when I was 13, I have "wishes" for the memories we didn't create together. Go for it!
A funny movie, you ask? The Gods Must Be Crazy and Short Circuit are two of my absolute favorites.
I'm a 47 year old wife and mother. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb of '08. This blog is a journal of my experiences with cancer.
My Procedure Tally: **needle biopsy**
**PET CT Scan**
**MRI**
**MRI guided biopsy**
**Lumpectomy/sentinel node removal**
**6 rounds of chemo**
**Positive BRCA2 gene test**
**Bi-lateral mastectomy with first stage reconstruction** **4 Expansion injections** **Exchange surgery to replace expanders with permanent implants** **bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy ** I think that's enough - don't you?
